Our Vision

The Anti-Dictatorship, People’s Freedom Movement’s professed aim and objective is to defy dictatorships of every form and guise and affect the toppling of such authoritarian rules. It bears nothing of any negative attitude but aims only to propagate and promote democracy and human rights in Burma, after the demise of military dictatorship system in Burma.
Today we are in the midst of getting rid of the brutal and ruthless military rule in Burma. To that end, we are doing our best to incite and awaken our people back in our country and compatriots overseas to involve in the struggles against military rule as it is all in their interests and survival. In addition, we are propagating democracy and human rights and enlightening the people of our country with the ideals of democracy and rule of law, prerequisites for a free, happy and prosperous life, as every living being on this earth is entitled since birth.
International attention and involvement in our cause –restoration of freedom and democracy in Burma - is critical and crucial under prevailing circumstances. The present ruling military dictatorship in Burma is well entrenched. In line with our belief and reality, we are garnering international awareness and support on our cause, as it is vital and crucial in toppling the present military dictatorship system in Burma in a way.
Of course, we firmly believe also that mass involvement of the people of Burma, under the guidance of and in line with the National League for Democracy (NLD) under Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is crucial and a deciding factor, for our ultimate victory over the military rulers in Burma.
Not the least also, is the involvement of ethnic organizations and individuals in the pro-democracy movements and we warmly and cordially invite any and every ethnic organization or individual with courage, integrity, and most of all open mind and free spirit, to join with us and fight against the military oppressors. After all Than Shwe’s regime in Burma is our common scourge and enemy and each and everyone who professes and believes that freedom, democracy, and rule of law are the basics of human existence has the bounded duty and obligation to fight and get rid of the military regime in Burma.
This is nothing short of our call for duty and decency as human beings with the will to live a free, prosperous and peaceful life. Any individual or organization that practices or exercises transgression, oppression, injustice, or plain bullying like what the SPDC military ruling body is doing in Burma today, calls upon our reaction and begs our retaliation, befitting and exact in nature and scope.
Ultimately, we have no qualms over the outcome of the conflict existing between us and Than Shwe led military dictators in Burma. We will accept nothing short of the ultimate victory as our prize. In reality and fact also, we are fighting for a just and noble cause – liberty, justice, peace and prosperity for the people of Burma – unlike the military rulers in Burma only striving for their continued hold on power and at the same time enriching themselves and their cronies.
We will never bow or give up our struggle in the cause of our country until ultimately victory over our adversary, the brutal and cowardly military dictators in Burma.
